Its story
Manyas is known for the fertile pastures around Kuş Gölü (Lake Kuş) and its dairy farming. The hard, aged cheese made from this milk, called 'kelle' after the shape of its mold, has been registered with a geographical indication. Its long aging gives it an intense aroma. It can be bought directly from producers at markets in and around Manyas.
