A church on Mustafapaşa square, built in 1729 and repaired again in 1850, one of the most important churches of Sinasos.
Its story
The Church of Saints Constantine and Helena is dedicated to the Byzantine Emperor Constantine I and his mother Helena. According to the Greek inscription above the entrance, it was built in 1729, in the reign of Sultan Ahmed III, and repaired from its foundations in 1850. The building was used not only for services but also for school ceremonies, receiving the bishop and ceremonies at which prayers were said for the sultan's health. A legend about its construction says that permission was granted on condition that it be completed in 40 days, and the whole village worked together. Today it hosts cultural and arts events.
