Its story
The Kırşehir Alaaddin Mosque, also known as the Ulu Mosque, was commissioned in 1230 by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I. The original building fell into ruin over time and in 1893 was completely demolished and rebuilt by the mutasarrıf Arif Bey. It stands right near the Ahi Evran Tomb, in the middle of the city's historic bazaar, and is one of the landmark buildings bearing the name of Kırşehir's Seljuk past.
