Its story
According to tradition, Seydiler became a settlement when Seyyid Zülfikar, who came to the region in the Seljuk period, founded his tekke, and it took its name from him. It is popularly said that he was the brother of Şeyh Emre, who founded a zaviye in the village of Emreler. The founding of the settlement is dated to the 12th century; Seyyid Zülfikar's tomb is still in the district center today, and the mosque bearing his name is the focus of this tradition of faith. The district is on the road along which ammunition was carried from İnebolu to Ankara in the War of Independence; in the center, the statue of Şerife Bacı, a heroine of the war, and the culture house bearing her name can also be seen.
