Uzunkemer Aqueduct

An Ottoman aqueduct in Kemerburgaz, the longest of the Kırkçeşme water line, attributed to Mimar Sinan.
Its story
Uzunkemer is one of the great valley-spanning aqueducts of the Kırkçeşme water supply line, reorganized by Mimar Sinan in the reign of Süleyman the Magnificent. With a length exceeding about 700 meters, it is known as the longest aqueduct of this system. Its two-tiered row of arches spreads over a wide area in the upper valley of the Kâğıthane Stream. Today it can easily be seen thanks to the roads and parks around it.
