Its story
Although it is not known for certain when and by whom the structure, also known as the Kapıağası Bridge, was built, it is mentioned in the tezkires (biographical records) listing the works of Mimar Sinan. Built of finely cut stone, the bridge is about 70 meters long with three pointed arches; its piers have cutwaters that split the flow. Since the new intercity road follows a different route, the bridge is no longer in use. It lies in a sunken area near the Haramidere junction.
