Its story
Orta Mosque stands in the middle of Tekirdağ's historic bazaar and neighborhood fabric and is the symbol of the Ortacami neighborhood, to which it gave its name. The present building was rebuilt in 1856; the wooden decoration inside is striking. Being within walking distance of the Namık Kemal House and the Rüstem Paşa Complex, it is easily added to the historic route in the center.
