Its story
Based on its waqf deed, the building is dated to around 1495; its patron was İbrahim Paşa. It was first built as an imaret (public kitchen) with a zaviye (dervish lodge) and was converted into a mosque over time. In the 1943 earthquake the mihrab dome, narthex and minaret collapsed; it was repaired by local people in 1955 and restored by the Directorate of Foundations between 1989 and 2000.
