Its story
According to the Ministry page, a carbon test carried out by foreign scientists dates the mosque to 1206; the narthex was added in 1335. In the building, made of walnut, ash and chestnut wood with the stacked-timber technique, no nails were used except at the column heads. The mosque, raised above the ground, was comprehensively restored in 2007 and is cited as one of Türkiye's oldest wooden mosques.
