Kadyanda Ancient City
Fethiye, Muğla
A Lycian city on a pine-forested hill above Üzümlü, with a stadium and a bath.
Its story
Kadyanda stands on a hill above the village of Üzümlü, northeast of Fethiye. The city, whose Lycian name was Xadawãti, was introduced to the world in the 19th century by the English traveler Charles Fellows. Among the pine trees you can see a stadium, a Roman bath, a theater and rock tombs. Its forested setting and cool air make for a pleasant visit even on hot summer days.
