An ancient harbor city on a peninsula in the Gulf of Güllük, right beside the fishing village of Kıyıkışlacık.

Its story
Iasos lies about 26 km west of Milas, on the shore of a small bay in the Gulf of Güllük. The city was once an island; today it is connected to the shore by a narrow isthmus. Among the remains are a bouleuterion, an agora, a theater and city walls. The Roman mausoleum on the shore attracts visitors' attention. The neighboring village of Kıyıkışlacık is known for its fish restaurants.
