A nature park of about 40 hectares declared in 2009 at Pınarbaşı, about 3 km from the city center.
Its story
The nature park is at Pınarbaşı in the Battalgazi district and was declared a nature park on 1 December 2009; it is attached to the Nature Conservation and National Parks 15th Regional Directorate. The area of about 40.3 hectares is some 3 km from the city center and offers a short escape from the city around the Orduzu Pınarbaşı springs. Studies at the site have identified 108 plant species belonging to 34 families; a large part of these are elements of the Irano-Turanian phytogeographic region. Popular for walks and picnics, the park can be combined on the same day with a visit to the Arslantepe Mound.
