Its story
The canyon formed by the Tohma River as it passes through Darende begins right next to the Somuncu Baba Complex. The walking path along the canyon floor connects the two banks with wooden footbridges; along the path are small waterfalls, waterwheels and rest points. Cypress, plane, willow and fig trees stand out in the vegetation; in autumn, the changing colors of the leaves make the canyon attractive for photographers. The Kudret Havuzu (Pool of Providence) at the entrance to the canyon and Zengibar Castle above can easily be added to the same walk.
