Its story
Sulakyurt is accepted as having been founded in the 15th century by Şeyh Şami, a member of the Bayramiye order; in his Seyahatname, Evliya Çelebi states that Şeyh Şami's real name was Hamza and describes his miracles. The rectangular-plan mosque has white-washed walls and a hipped roof resting on wooden posts. Its single-balcony cut-stone minaret preserves its original features. The nearly square-plan stone tomb is inside the mosque. The complex was registered in 1985 and repaired in the following years.
