Its story
The Atatürk House Museum is a two-story mansion of cut stone and wood, built as a house in the 19th century. When Mustafa Kemal came to Kayseri during the preparatory period of the War of Independence, he stayed two nights in this house, on 19–20 December 1919. The building was registered in 1976, expropriated in 1978 and opened as the Atatürk House in 1983; in 1998 it was rearranged into its present museum form. The rooms display Atatürk's belongings and the household arrangement of the period.
