Its story
Ballıdağ is a mountainous area rising northwest of the Daday district, where black pine, Scots pine, beech and fir form mixed forests. It is stated that because of its clean air it once hosted Türkiye's second sanatorium. The area stands out today for ecotourism; in Daday, one of the important centers of horse breeding in the Ottoman period, activities such as horse farms, riding lessons and horse safaris take place. The summit is about 1,740 m high, and the forest roads are suitable for walking.
