Rahmi M. Koç Museum
Beyoğlu, İstanbul
An industrial museum on the Golden Horn displaying vehicles, ships, aircraft and machines from the history of transport, industry and communications.
Its story
The museum opened in Hasköy in 1994 with the collection of Rahmi M. Koç. One part is housed in the Ottoman-era Lengerhane (anchor foundry) building and the other on the site of the former Hasköy Shipyard. It displays a broad collection including steam trains, classic cars, a submarine, aircraft, imperial caiques and toys. With its interactive sections and the ships on its waterfront, it offers a long visit, especially for families with children.
