Its story
Ağva is known by its name, interpreted as meaning 'between two streams' because it was founded between two streams. Canoe and rowing-boat trips along the stream, hikes on forested slopes and long sandy beaches have made the town a favorite weekend getaway. The rocky shores north of the Yeşilçay mouth and Kilimli Bay are also in the town's surroundings. Crowded in summer, Ağva takes on the air of a quiet village in the winter months.
