Its story
İspir Yedigöller (Seven Lakes) is a group of lakes set in glacial cirques at about 2,800 to 3,000 m in the southern part of the Kaçkar Mountains. Steep granite walls, snowfields that do not melt until midsummer and mountain meadows accompany the scenery. The way leads from İspir to the village of Çayırözü and from there to Moryayla, where the dirt road begins; high-clearance vehicles can go up to the ridge, or the viewpoint can be reached from Moryayla by a tiring walk of about 7 km. A path descends from the ridge to the lakes. The area also attracts birdwatchers with high-mountain birds such as the Caucasian snowcock (ur kekliği), bearded vulture and red-billed chough.
