Its story
According to sources, Hacı Hamza Sultan, a Kadiri dervish who lived in the time of Mehmed the Conqueror, came from Khorasan to Istanbul and, after engaging in scholarship and spiritual guidance, settled in the Hoş İslamlar area where his tomb now stands. He is said to have had a Friday masjid and a madrasa built to bring together the scattered population. He is also said to have been knowledgeable in fields such as medicine and mathematics as well as religious sciences. The tomb is about 3 kilometers from the district center and close to the E-80 highway. The site, where commemoration and festival days are held in his name, receives many visitors in spring and summer.
