Its story
Antandros is a city of the Troad built on the slopes of Devren hill, between Altınoluk and Avcılar village. According to legend, after the fall of Troy, Aeneas built ships here from the timber of Kaz Dağı and set sail. The city grew rich by exporting timber from Kaz Dağı. The Roman-period terrace villa uncovered in excavations begun in the 2000s can be seen under a protective roof, with its colorful wall paintings and mosaics.
