An ancient city around Bozyurt village bearing traces of two regions thanks to its location between Caria and Lydia.
Its story
Mastaura lies north of Nazilli, where the village of Bozyurt is today. Because of its location at the meeting point of the Carian and Lydian regions, it bears traces of both cultures. The city's theater and other remains are scattered among the village's gardens and olive groves. Research begun in recent years is revealing the city's plan and importance anew.
