An Ottoman-era mosque at Kalekapısı, right next to the Clock Tower.
Its story
The mosque takes its name from the Ottoman statesman Lala Mehmed Paşa (Tekeli Mehmet Paşa). It is at the land-wall entrance to Kaleiçi, on the same square as the Clock Tower. With its domed structure and the calligraphic decoration inside, it is an important example of Ottoman architecture around Kaleiçi.
