A Roman aqueduct that carried water to Aspendos, famous for its pressure towers.
Its story
The Aspendos Aqueduct was built in the Roman period, around the 2nd–3rd century AD, to carry water from the hills to the north to the ancient city of Aspendos. The long row of arches crossing the plain and the pressure (siphon) towers at both ends of the line are cited among the best-preserved examples of Roman water engineering in Anatolia.
