Atatürk Park and Atatürk Monument

A bronze sculpture group by Ali Hadi Bara in Atatürk Park, opened in 1935 under the Jansen plan.
Its story
Atatürk Park was designed in the early years of the Republic according to urban planner Hermann Jansen's development plan for Adana and opened on April 23, 1935. Stretching between Ziyapaşa Boulevard and Atatürk Street, the park is a symbolic space associated with the city's official ceremonies. On the side facing Atatürk Street stands a bronze group consisting of a caped statue of Atatürk on a tall marble pedestal and the figures around it. The statues were designed by Ali Hadi Bara; the pedestal and surrounding landscaping were done by Abdullah Ziya Kozanoğlu.
