A day in Ereğli: from Herakleia to Alemdar
A walking route from the museum ship, a replica of the Alemdar tugboat that carried supplies to the front in the War of Independence, to the Ereğli Museum in the Halil Paşa Mansion and the great plane trees of Bozhane; it ends at the Cehennemağzı Caves, said to be where Hercules descended into the underworld, and the castle remains of ancient Herakleia Pontike.
