Its story
Üçtepeler is an area of about 172 hectares on the hills right next to the Sorgun district center, declared a nature park on 11 July 2011. Being the only wooded, scenic area beside the steppe district, which is surrounded on all sides by farmland, gives it special value. The park, at an average altitude of 1280 meters, is about 200 meters above the district center; from its northern parts Sorgun can be viewed panoramically. Besides Scots pine and black pine trees, wild pear, hawthorn and rosehip are seen; birds such as the coal tit, hoopoe and long-legged buzzard live here. It is heavily used for picnics and resting in the summer months.
