Its story
Kastro, today called Çamlıkoy, is a small cove where the Bahçeköy stream flows into the Black Sea, and has a sandy beach about 2.5 kilometers long. The roughly 329-hectare black pine forest around the cove is protected as the only naturally growing black pine stand in Thrace; the protected area extends across the borders of Kırklareli, Tekirdağ and Istanbul. Forest walking paths, the stream and the deserted beach attract nature lovers. Thanks to its proximity to Kıyıköy, both places can be visited on the same day.
