Kurşunlu Hamamı
Merkez, Sivas
A double Ottoman hamam commissioned by Behram Paşa in 1576, with a large domed cold section and a four-iwan hot section.
Its story
The Kurşunlu Hamamı was commissioned by Behram Paşa in 1576 as a double hamam with separate sections for women and men. The cold section (soğukluk) covered with a large dome and the four-iwan hot section (sıcaklık) reflect the classic Ottoman hamam plan. Together with the han of the same pasha, it is part of the commercial and daily life center of 16th-century Sivas. The current use and visiting status of the hamam should be checked in advance.
