Its story
The Balıklı Kaplıca is about 13 kilometers from the Kangal district center and, with the small fish living in its water, is one of the world's rare hot springs. It is also known among local people as 'Yılanlı Çermik' (Snake Spring); the total flow of the pools, at 36–37 °C, is about 130 liters per second. The hot spring has become famous as an alternative treatment, especially for psoriasis. 'Kangal Balıklı Kaplıcası' is registered with TÜRKPATENT as a designation of origin; in 2025 the area was also placed under protection as the Kangal Balıklıgöl Nature Park.
