Its story
The mansion known as the Aslan Torunlar Evi is a large example of 18th-century civil architecture in the city center. Today, as the Sinop Ethnography Museum, it displays objects of the region's cultural history. In its rooms you can see traditional clothing, weavings, kitchen and household items, and examples of the region's linen and woodwork. The mansion itself gives an idea of the plan and interior layout of the old houses in Sinop that have survived to the present day. It is a few minutes' walk from the Archaeology Museum.
