Its story
The Isırlık Nature Park is in Rize's central district, between Köprülü and Küçükköy, about 5 km from the city center, and was declared a nature park on 2 April 2015. The area of about 12 hectares represents the Black Sea's humid forest ecosystem: ferns and various herbaceous plants grow beneath beech, chestnut, alder, hornbeam and maple trees. The park has viewing terraces, walking paths and picnic areas; there is no accommodation. Because it is close to the city, it is suitable for a short forest walk or a half-day picnic. The area is managed by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
