Its story
Çiniligöl is a cirque lake formed by glacial erosion in the Pleistocene epoch of the Quaternary, and is one of the largest glacial lakes in the Bolkar Mountains. The lake, at an altitude of about 2,600 meters within the boundaries of Ulukışla, is fed by snowmelt and groundwater and is known for the clarity of its water. It is reached by a steep path climbing from Karagöl and is one of the habitats of the endemic Taurus frog. The highest point of the Bolkar, the Medetsiz summit (3,524 m), is also in this area.
