Its story
Kadırga Burnu is on the western side of the entrance where the Bay of Marmaris opens onto the open sea and can be reached via the Kumlubük road. The first lighthouse on the headland was established in 1886. The old lighthouse was decommissioned in 2007 and replaced by a taller lattice tower. Lighthouses in Türkiye are operated by the Directorate General of Coastal Safety. The headland offers a wide sea view over the entrance to the bay.
