Its story
Kerpe is a natural bay on Kandıra's Black Sea coast sheltered by a rocky headland. The harbor, known in antiquity as Kalpe, is described in Xenophon's 'Anabasis' around 400 BC as the place where the Ten Thousand stopped on their journey home. Today the rocks, natural pools and small beaches around the bay draw visitors in summer. The rocks on the headland are a favorite spot for sunset photos. It is on the same coastal route as the Kefken and Cebeci shores.
