Doktor Celepoğlu Mansion

A Greek mansion dated 1908 with a neoclassical facade; a fine example of Kırklareli's late Ottoman architecture.
Its story
The mansion was commissioned by Doctor Sofoklis Tzelepoğlu; according to the date above the balcony door, it was completed in 1908. It is said that King Alexander I of Greece, touring the region in 1920, stayed here and addressed the people from its balcony. Registered in 1990, the building was restored in 2014 and brought back into use. Its facade with neoclassical decoration stands out on a walk around Yayla Meydanı.
