Its story
Yörük Köyü is about 6 km from the Safranbolu district center and is one of the settlements that have preserved traditional village architecture as a whole. Two- and three-story timber-frame houses with mud-brick infill, stone-paved streets, the village laundry house and neighborhood fountains are the village's main assets. Some of the mansions in the village are open to visitors as house museums. The Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism has announced the village's success in the UN World Tourism Organization's Best Tourism Villages program. The visit can be completed with a break, with gözleme and local dishes offered by the villagers.
