Şeker Canyon is within the boundaries of the Yenice district, inside the Yenice Forests, one of Türkiye's largest block forests. According to the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the canyon, about 6.5 km long, is a trail of interest to professionals for its difficult crossings. The surrounding forests are listed internationally as areas that need protection because of their biological diversity. Crossing the whole canyon requires equipment and experience; its entrance sections and surroundings are suitable for nature walks and photography.
