Its story
The Kılavuzlu Dam was built on the Ceyhan River between 1996 and 2001 for irrigation and energy production. The earth-fill dam is 59 meters high; at normal water level it forms a lake of about 3.1 km². Located in the valley between the Menzelet Dam and the historic Ceyhan Bridge, the lake can be seen together with the viewpoints on the same route.
