Its story
The historic bazaar stretching between the Ulu Mosque and the castle keeps Maraş's handicraft tradition alive. Copperwork, saddlery, products inlaid with bone and mother-of-pearl, and sellers of spices, pepper and tarhana work side by side here. It offers the chance to taste Maraş ice cream (dondurma) and local products on the spot. After the earthquake, repair and renovation work was carried out in some parts of the bazaar.
