Its story
The Clock Tower was erected in 1901 to mark the 25th anniversary of Abdülhamid II's accession to the throne; its architect was the Levantine Raymond Charles Père. The octagonal tower is surrounded by four fountains, and its clock is known as a gift from the German Emperor Wilhelm II.
