A village among pine forests overlooking the gulf, founded by Yörüks and known for its grapes and walking routes.
Its story
Kavacık is a small village of about 200 households founded by Yörüks in the first half of the 19th century. The village is reached by a road covered in pine forest overlooking the Gulf of İzmir. Stone houses, a historic mosque and old gravestones make up the village's fabric. There are nearly 30 walking routes and small waterfalls around it; the geographically indicated Kavacık grape is promoted with a festival held every year.
