Çamlık Steam Locomotive Museum
Selçuk, İzmir
Türkiye's largest open-air railway museum, home to one of the most comprehensive steam locomotive collections in Europe.
Its story
The museum was established on the site of the old Çamlık Station, opened in 1866 on the İzmir–Aydın railway. When the station closed in 1991 with the realignment of the line, the site was turned into a museum in 1997. The grounds display dozens of steam locomotives built in different countries, carriages, a turntable and a water tower. For families with children, it is a different stop that can be added to the Ephesus and Şirince route.
