A long-established museum displaying sculptures and finds from excavations at Pergamon, Allianoi and the surrounding area.
Its story
The museum, founded in Bergama in 1936, is regarded as one of Türkiye's first archaeology museums. Its archaeology section displays works of the Pergamon school of sculpture, finds from Allianoi and a model of the Altar of Zeus. The ethnography section features local carpets, costumes and jewelry. It is a stop that rounds off a tour of the Acropolis and the Asklepion.
