A 19th-century mansion on the Kordon where Atatürk stayed on his visits to İzmir.
Its story
The mansion was built in the 1880s by a carpet merchant. Atatürk stayed here many times when he came to İzmir, and the building was presented to him in the 1930s. The rooms, now arranged as a museum, display period furniture, personal belongings and photographs. It can easily be visited during a walk along the Kordon.
