Firdevs Bey Bedesten and Historic Üzüm Pazarı
Merkez, Isparta
A 16th-century historic covered bazaar made up of a bedesten and its associated shops.
Its story
The bedesten, built by Firdevs Bey together with his mosque, was the commercial heart of the city. Üzüm Pazarı (the Grape Market), made up of the thick stone-walled covered bazaar and the small shops around it, is still home today to tradespeople selling carpets, rose products and local souvenirs. The domed interior offers a shopping environment that is cool in summer and sheltered in winter. It is one of the easiest places in the city to buy rose oil and rose water.
