Its story
Lake Eğirdir is the largest and best-known freshwater lake of the Lakes District; its northern part is called Lake Hoyran. Because its color shifts from blue to green to gray depending on the time of day and the weather, it is also called the "lake of seven colors". The apple orchards on its shores, beaches such as Altınkum and Bedre, and small islands keep the lake lively all summer. The lake is also of great importance for drinking and irrigation water for the surrounding cities. Watching the sunset from the Eğirdir peninsula or the Akpınar ridges is recommended.
