Its story
Başpınar Nature Park lies in a valley formed by a branch of the Aksu Stream, at an elevation of about 1,365 meters, and was declared a nature park in 2011. Its forest of Anatolian black pine, downy oak, aspen and juniper is home to wild goats and various birds of prey. An approximately 9 km walking and cycling path connects Zindan Cave, the trout farms, the park and the Sorgun Dam. Thanks to its cool air, it is a popular picnic spot in summer.
