Its story
Lake Üçkaya is a small lake at an elevation of about 1,500 meters in the village of Üçkaya in Tuzluca. Its shores are surrounded by reed beds, fruit trees and natural vegetation; on one side of the lake stretches the wide Üçkaya Valley with its stream and footpaths. In autumn, when the trees in the valley turn shades of yellow, red and brown, the area is attractive for nature photographers; in winter the lake surface may freeze. Villagers and local authorities have started work to bring the lake into tourism with walking and camping areas. You can walk along the shore, and the valley can be visited in every season for its different colors.
