Its story
Local people believe that this plane tree sprouted when the Prophet Moses planted his staff in the ground; the tree's name comes from this. Although estimates of its age vary by source, it is accepted as one of the oldest trees in the region. With its broad trunk and shade, it is at the center of the village square. The fact that it was not damaged by the earthquakes has since increased visitor interest.
